Nagano Maru - Truk Lagoon, Micronesia

The Nagano Maru was built in 1917 by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries for the Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) Line as a freighter. In the fall of 1937 she was drafted by the Imperial Japanese Army to carry troops to China for the war in Manchuria. She was returned to civilian service until 1941 when the Imperial Japanese Navy took her over. She served on Naval command, until again being placed under control of the Army in 1942.

The Wreck of the Ferry Dawn - Lake Washington, Seattle

The wreck of the wood hulled steam ferry Dawn lies in approximately 115 feet of water. She was built at the Lake Washington Shipyard in 1914. During her years of service she was well loved and earned the nickname “The Queen of the Lake”. She was put out of service in 1946. She was scuttled in South Lake Washington where she now rests upright in approximately 115 feet of water.


US revenue Cutter Scout - Lake Washington, Seattle

The Scout was built in the late 1800s as a US Revenue Service Cutter. She served to control piracy, opium trade and motorized boat traffic in the Puget Sound. The US Revenue Cutter Service became the US Coast guard in 1915.

Wreck of the Iona - Red Sea, Yanbu, Saudi Arabia

The Iona is a World War One era shipwreck. She sits broken on a reef just outside of Yanbu in the Saudi Arabian Red Sea. The is a dive for all skill levels. The stern is resting at approximately 165 feet, 50 meters. Wreck is on a slope with the bow very near the surface at the edge of the reef.
